I transmit inclosed a receipt of John Habersham Esquire dated December 31st 1796 for ninety dollars applied by him to defray the incidental and contingent expenses of the Department of War, in the State of Georgia, in the quarter ending December 31st 1796; which receipt is to be annexed to a Warrant to be issued by the Secretary of War, on the Treasurer in favor of said Habersham, who is to be charged and held accountable for the same in the Books of your Office.
