A Garrison Flag is wanted at Mud Island Fort, in the River Delaware — Captain Elliott, the commanding officer, will superintend the making of one, if he is furnished with the materials — You will be pleased therefore to deliver to John Steel, the bearer, the following articles — viz: Eighty six & ⅞ y^ds Red Bunting Seventy two & ⅛ y^ds White — d^o Fifty six . . . . d^o Blue — d^o Half pound . . . . . . Thread. Half pound . . . . Line. Three yards . . . . Linen. The above will make a Flag of twenty five feet in the hoist, and forty three feet, fly.
