General Knox's Account for Wine
Document 1797Knox directed Willings & Francis to submit his bill with them to Hodgdon, which they did in the summer. That bill has not been paid, so they send it again with additions.
Williams & FRancis 28th January 1797 Encloses Gen Knox’s account for Wine
To Major Hodgdon DrSir/ We handed you last Summer an Account against Genl. Knox for the Business of which He denied us to call on you. We now encloses a Duplicate with the addition of Duties [undecipherable] then amounting to ₤345.17.3.. which we will thank [paper ripped word missing] to send us a Check for. Should it be [undecipherable] to pay the Amount [?]here, we have an Oppy of passing a [undecipherable] Genl. Knox in Boston You Reply will oblige. I your obed servt. Williams & Francis
