Sir
On the settlement of an account of Captain John Heth, for conducting Indians, he has credited the sum of One thousand Dollars received of John Wilkins Quarter-Master General. I have therefore in order to have this sum brought to the credit of Mr. Wilkins communicated the subject to the Comptroller of the Treasury with a request to have the sum transfered to the credit of the proper Account. In answer to which he has directed that the mode set forth in the letter, copy of which you have herewith, should be adopted. I have therefore to request that you will forward to this Office one of the drafts which you have paid on his account that the necessary Indorsement may take place and the sum entered to your credit on the Books of this Office —
