I received your letter of the 16th Inst and agreeably to your request & the order of Col. Lynch, his Drummer, Pay & Forage will be forwarded to Nicholas Fish with the Money for the Pay of the Corps for that Month, as soon as Appropriations are made by Congress.
The Accounts of the Soldiers will be examined and laid before the Administrators of Capt Gamble's Estate on the Settlement with them. If from the documents they convince themselves authorized to admit the Accounts, the money will be stopped for the use of the Soldiers — There would be no difficulty of the Size Bills were produced. But as it is I fear there is not a sufficient proof of the Debt.
