You stand charged on the Books of this Office with considerable Sums of money for the pay of Scouts of Allegany County — you are therefore requested to forward without delay Receipts for the payments you have made, and if any ballance remaining in your hands — refund the same to the Treasurer of the United States — the length of time since you have received part of the monies is such as I have no doubt but the necessity will appear obvious to you of an immediate Settlement taking place —
