Staats Morris Accountants Office Whetstone Point Jan. 12^th 1797 Baltimore Sir I rec'd your Letter of the 6^th Inst enclosing the Rec^t Rolls of your Company for Oct & Nov; and Muster & Pay Rolls for Dec^r 1796. — The Rec^t Rolls have been examined, and the sum of Four hundred six Dollars & seventy one Cents will be entered to your Credit on the Books of this Office; leaving a Balance on that head of Eighteen Dollars unaccounted for. — The Pay Roll has also been examined, and (after deducting therefrom the Pay of Rob^t Dean, W^m Kinsley, J^no Sullivan, & J^no Hutchinson, privates, confined for Desertion; and John Alexander, Drummer, taken by Civil Authority) amounts to two hundred & ninety nine Dollars, which sum, you will receive from John Kitty Esq^r Sup^t Baltimore on giving him Duplicate Rec^t therefor.
