Capt^t Staats Morris Accountants Office Whetstone Point Jan 12^th 1797 Baltimore Sir I rec^d your letter of the 6^th Inst enclosing the Rect Rolls of your Company for Oct^r & Nov^r, and Muster & Pay Rolls for Dec^r 1796. — The Rect Rolls have been examined, and the sum of four hundred six Dollars & twenty one Cents will be carried to your Credit on the Books of this Office, leaving a Balance on that head of Eighteen Dollars unaccounted for. — The Pay Roll has also been examined, and (after deducting therefrom the Pay of Rob^t Dean, W^m Kirsley, Jn^o Sullivan, & Jn^o Hutchinson, privates, confined for Desertion; and John Alexander, Drummer, taken by Civil Authority) amounts to two hundred & ninety nine Dollars, which sum, you will receive from John Kelty Esq^r Sup^r Baltimore on giving him Duplicate Rect^s therefor.
