[Acc. War dep.] Pittsburg 30^th December 1795 Sir Yours of the 23^d instant has arrived with respect to the General Return. The Vouchers for Issues of Stores were detained for the want of a few of them being receipted the person to whom the Articles were delivered being absent. And, I had not deemed it expedient, without them, to forward an explanatory abstract of Receipts & Issues but which you may now calculate upon immediately receiving. Enclosed is a Draft from Cap. Shaumburgh to the Secy of War for 50 Dollars [undecipherable] also a Receipt for 40 dollars advanced at the desire of Maj. Eleas Langham. The latter is enclosed under the impression that it will be more easily negotiated in the City than here — and I shall advise Maj. Langham accordingly.
