The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of forty nine dollars & thirty three Cents, which you will please to pay to Serjeant Philips Williams of the Corps of Artillerists & Engineers and the men under his command stationed at Fort Johnston being for their Pay to the 30.th Nov.r 1796, and take their receipts for the same agreeably to the enclosed Receipt Roll, which as soon as receipted, you will be pleased to transmit to this Office, as well as the one forwarded you from hence per Letter dated 19 Oct.r 96, in order that the amount of both may be placed to your Credit on the Books of this Office.
