Governor's Island Dec^r 16. 1796 Sir I have enclosed a Receipt Roll of the Detachment at this Garrison, the Amount of which, I hope you will pass to my Credit in your Office — There are several, viz^t: Francis Clark, fifer, Charles Stratton and Sam^l Ober say they have not receive their pay for the Month of October, if they have received it, probably their receipts will appear in y^r Office. — Please to inform me, previous to next Muster, that they may be put on the next pay Roll, for that Month in case they have not received it — I will thank you to inform me, whether to muster the troops here in future, as a Company, or a Detachment — N.B.
