Agreeably to what I wrote to you last Post I now have to inform you that a Warrant has issued, for two thousand five hundred Dollars on account of the Pay &c of the Troops in your Quarter — This sum will be remitted to you in a Post Note by Samuel Lewis Clk in this Office, for which you will forward your receipt, holding yourself accountable for the due application thereof — I have thought this mode of Remittance preferable to any other, as you can negotiate the Business with Gen.l Nevill so as to suit you Both: you by receiving the Cash, & he by making use of the Note as a remittance.
