I recieved your letter of the 14 of September in season and recieved the sum of one hundred & fifty Dollars fr Mr Jackson supervisor of Massachusitts. I Should have answerd yours before this had it ben in my power sickness the cause. I have long in expectation of my accounts with the public being settled before this. & what the reason can be is not a little mysterious to me. my demands are just similar amounts have ben paid without difficulty and why I am to be kept from my pay and subsistence must be unaccountable to every body
