Sir—
The Post brought me two Packages of Sir Franklin vouchers, but no letter— I think it best not to intermeddle with the Finance arrangements relative to the Money in the hands of Governor Reed, I have the means in my Power for complying with your order, and as I shall always forward Port Holes, you can answer both your own, and the general purposes by making the exchange with him per Silver— If your drafts do not come to hand and prevent, I shall make you another remittance by next Post— I wish to hear first that the 2500 dollars sent you in my last is safely to hand— James Hamilton left this three days ago— Having besides Stationary, and other articles to your address— a barrel containing 10 lbs Loaf Sugar and 65 lbs Coffee— In great haste adieu—
