Mr Hodgson has transmitted to me an Invoice of Indian goods said to be intended for the Chicasaw Indians a considerable part of which, have arrived & Mr Hodgson intimates that they are to be sent to Fort Washington & from thence to be forwarded in charge of an Officer, pointed out by the Commander in chief, to their final Destination. And as the Gazette is expected from Detroit every hour I shall not send these Articles forward until he arrives.
Captain Turner is now setting off for Detroit Via Fort Washington the Waters of the Ohio having been too low hitherto for him to proceed
