You having recd the sum of Eight hundred thirty seven Dollars & 61/100, and are held accountable for the due application thereof. — Drs 488 27/100 thereof you will on your arrival at Staunton disburse by paying Ensign Larkin J. Dickenson and the Recruits under the command of Capt. Alexander Gibson at Staunton Virginia for their pay to the 31st October 1796, agreeably to the enclosed Receipt Roll, and transmit the same, as soon as receipted, to this Office; when the amount paid will be entered to your Credit.
The remaining sum of Drs 349 34/100, being for the pay of Capt William Rickards Recruits at Tarborough in No Carolina for the months of September and Octr 1796. you will please to deliver to David Henley A.W.D. Knoxville, together with the enclosed parcel, & forward his receipt to this Office; — on receipt of which that sum will also be passed to your Credit on the Books of this Office.
