I rec.d your Letter of the 1st inst. enclosing the receipt Roll of your Company for July & Aug.t 1796, which will be passed to your Credit on the Books of this Office, and Pay & Muster Rolls for Sept. & Oct.r 1796, together with Michael Uptons Discharge. ——
The pay Roll has been examined & after deducting Fred.k Dalcho's Pay & Forage, and Patrick Dovar deceased amounts to Dollars four hundred forty & 93/100, which sum you will receive from Daniel Stevens Sup.t Charleston on giving him duplicate receipts for the due application thereof; and disburse the same agreeably to the enclosed receipt Roll.
You will also receive from Daniel Stevens Esq.r a further sum of Eighteen Doll.s & 29/100, which you will please to pay to Michael Upton, being for his Pay, as late Serj.t in Capt W.m McKea's Company from 1.st June to 19.th Aug.t 1795, the date of his discharge; and for which he will sign the enclosed receipt, which you will forward to this Office together with the rec.t Roll of your Company that both may be passed to your Credit accordingly.

Knoxville, together with the enclosed parcel, & forward his receipt to this Office; — on receipt of which that sum will also be passed to your Credit on the Books of this Office.
