Carolina Charleston 21. November 1796 — I am now to acknowledge the receipt of your several letter of 18. May, 18^th August and 22^nd September last, and agreeably to your instructions, have this day paid Major Constant Freeman Agent of the War department in Georgia, the several Sums therein mentioned, to wit [undecipherable] Dollars as mentioned in your letter of 18. May, [undecipherable] Dollars in your letter of 18. August, and 6450 Dollars in your letter of 22.
