The Mail sent from our Post office on the 4^th instant for [undecipherable] by James [undecipherable] in the Post Office returned this day — The[y] account for you not receiving my letter of that date. You will find these accompanied by two packets containing Vouchers of Issues of provision at Fort Franklin from 1^st April to 30^th Sept^r 1795 inclusive, together with a Return of Provisions at that Post from April 1795 to June 1795 inclusive — Four Vouchers of Issues of salt at this Post are also now enclosed — and you will also find the D.W.G's Draft on the Secretary at War in my favour for 1000 Dollars at 15 Days Sgt. You will be so pleased to present this Bill for acceptance & remit me the amount as soon as possible — this Draft is given me in payment of a like sum advanced to the D.W.G's Assistants the 1^st July last by his order. James Hamilton's Waggoner's Receit for 40 Dollars is enclosed — this sum you will stop from Hamilton's Place to my account. Medicine & Hospital [undecipherable] are much wanted the[se] Account. [undecipherable] Dr. [undecipherable] — I presume before this time you must have had an account of the Election in our Counties — It is said that the Democratic Ticket has a majority of [undecipherable] more than 3000.
