I recd your Letter of the 23d Ult. and the duplicate of yours of the 18th same month. The original whereof has not yet come to hand. — As the money had been forwarded to Daniel Stevens for the Pay of the Regular Troops in Georgia including the month of August that month [was] deducted & the month of Octr added to your estimate. the amount being the same as before, Three thousand nine hundred & fifty two Dollars was last post remitted to: Daniel Stevens Supervisor; Charleston to whom you will give your duplicate receipts — I have not time at present to write you fully, which I will however do, as early as possible: — The Officers Accots you mention are under examination & I expect before next post day I shall be enabled to state the amount of them fully to you.
