Procuring Ramrods & Repairing Bayonets
Document 1796The Secretary of the Treasury has been directed to require the Purveyor to procure the ramrods needed for the French muskets repairing at West Point. He has been informed of Mr. Cranch's proposal to produce them at a price of a half-dollar each. Enclosed is an order on the Storekeeper for the deficient bayonets which should immediately be forwarded to Mr. Cranch.
