Pittsburg 11^th November 1796 Sir Your letter of the 4^th instant enclosing Invoices of Medicines for Greenville Miami and Detroit is received but the arrival of these Articles at this post will be so late I am apprehensive they will not reach their destination before next Spring they shall however, if the Season permits, go forward immediately on their arrival. I am under the Necessity of calling upon you for a considerable Remittance. I expected to have obtained this day pay a large sum on Draft, but am disappointed. Gen. Nevill has now in hands a considerable sum subject to the orders of the Secretary of the Treasury. It is probable you can an application obtain an Order in my favor for 5,000 dollars — if not I have to request you to remit that sum in large Post Notes as any sum in Specie can now be obtained at this Place for Notes. At the Election for Electors in this County the Antifederal Ticket carried a very great Majority. James Hamilton Waggoner begs you to have loads for his two Waggons ready by the 25^th instant & I have to beg of you to send me by him a Barrel filled with Soap Sugar & Coffee. N.B.
