Pittsburg 11^th Novem. 1796 Sir I have this day transmitted to the Accountant of the War Department Muster and Pay Rolls of the several Detachments at the upper posts of the Ohio for June & July and for the detachments at Fort Franklin Le Bœuf & Presque Isle for June July & August. the Rolls of the Detachment that accompanied M^r Andrew Ellicott [strikethrough: under] the Command of Ensign M^cClary up to the 1^st Oct^r 1796 The Sums paid on these several Rolls, and accounts accompanying them amount to 3295 dollars 72⅔ cents. The balance remaining in my hands I am applying to Pay of the Garrison of Fort Fayette &c I have also this day transmitted to the Comptroller of the Treasury my account of Expenditures in Q^r M^r Com^y Ordnance Hosp^al & Indian Departments up to the 14^th Oct^r 1796.
