Deficiencies in the Administration of Public Property
Document 1796The Corps of Artillerists and Engineers is at West Point with deliveries made to the different companies. Notwithstanding the order introduced in the administration of the public property, there have been deficiencies. Rochefontaine argues that said deficiencies are due to the want of proper company books during the period that the Corps has been collecting from all parts of the continent, by the impossibility of examining the sundry packages and comparing them to invoices, and by unavoidable errors in delivering the articles.
