I rec'd your letter of the 10th Inst. enclosing your account for Bounty paid & premium for Inlisting John Garrett — in answer thereto I have to inform you, that I have directed Mr Freeman S.P.M. at West Point, to pay the amount to you, on your producing the Inlistment and adding your receipt thereon as a Voucher for his payment.

I rec'd your letters of the 12 & 16 Inst. the former accompanied by the Pay Roll of the West Point Troops for October. which is laying over for reasons given to Col. Rochefontaine, when it is acted upon, the contents of your letter of the 15th relative to Lieut Robinson. will be complied with. should that Officer not have embarked for Charleston on your receiving this — I have to request that you will demand of him his Receipt Rolls for payments to his detachment while at Baltimore; and if any monies remain in his hands unappropriated you will receive the same & give your Receipt for the same, subject to a correction if necessary at this Office.
Capt Griffith J M'Rea having inlisted a Recruit, the amount of whose Bounty he paid which together with the Premium for Inlisting him amount to sixteen Dollars, which I have to request you will pay to him on his producing the Inlistment on which you will take one Receipt and forward it as a voucher for the payment.
