I received your letter of the 7th Instt enclosing your Muster & Pay Rolls for Octr 1796. The Pay Roll has been examined; and after deducting six cents therefrom being an over charge in James Brown & Joseph Pettes [pay] amounts to One Hundred & eleven Dollars & 94/100 which sum you will receive from John Chester Esqr Supervisor, Weathersfield Connecticut, on giving him duplicate receipts for the due application thereof. The Letter for Capt Bissell will be forwarded by this day's post.
