I have received your letter of the 5th Instant enclosing the Inlistment — your recruiting account amounting to Forty eight Doll has been examined: but cannot ascertain whether Cornelius Lavery was duly mustered not having the Muster Roll for October.
I have admitted the Premium, but should he desert before mustered, it will be deducted from a future settlement.
Agreeably to your request the amount has been transmitted to Nicholas Fish Esqt Supervisor of New York and on the receipt of the same you will please sign duplicate receipts
