O'Hara and mention to him your not having obtained his answer to your letter. In order to equip General Wilkinson for his Journey to Philadelphia he has been furnished with 3 Horses &c for which in haste, a single Receipt was taken a Copy of which is enclosed. Yesterday eight Indian Chiefs with their att[endants] under the direction of Cap. John Heth set off from this place for Philadelphia — I have furnished them with sixteen Horses equipt with Saddles [Bridles] &c. Cap. Heth intends to proceed on Horseback to Shippinsburg and from thence in the Stage if possible, in that case the Horses will return from that place, if not they will be delivered to you.
