Canandaigua Oct^r 13 1796 Sir The goods you consignd to me are come safe to hand — and in addition to your invoice, two barrels of powder and one egg, and by the marks, appears to be five hundred weight of powder — Also one egg of flints. I heard of Cap^t. Handin in no other way but in your letters, I made enquiry for the goods & found where they arrived. At Geneve sixteen miles to the eastward of this, and rec them there.
