Oct 18^th 1796 Greenville Head Quarters of the Army Sir My last letter to you was of the 23^d Ulto. since which I rec^d yours of the 13 same month enclosing a List of Bills drawn from N^o 17 to 106. I now enclose you a duplicate of Cap^t Dan^l Britis Account of Pay and Subsistence to the 1^st March next as settled here yesterday; as well as a Copy of his relinquishment of 30 Dollars per Month from & after said 1^st March of his Pay towards paying the Balance found against him on Settlement of his Account as Pay Master. The advance of pay & subsistence was made to him to enable him to leave Town for the Army. — I forward you those papers that you may be prepared on his arrival at the Army to make the necessary deductions from the Pay Rolls, of which you will forward me in the usual form a Certificate of such Stoppage.
