I have just received a letter from the Secretary of State, an Extract from which is here enclosed.
It will be proper that you should immediately enquire into the allegations it contains against Wemple, Blacksmith to the Oneidas, and if they should be founded, to dismiss him, and pursue the course suggested by the Secretary.
