Sir,
The Secretary of War has directed me to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of this day and to inform you that there will be a quantity of medicine for the use of the Troops in Georgia, for which a requisition has been made this day, to be forwarded to St. Marys as also a supply of medicine and hospital Stores for the Western Army. The articles in store for Mr. Hawkin's are to be sent forward to St. Marys. Mr. Dinsmore may be sent with the Cherokee Goods. It is apprehended that there is some mistake in your account of [undecipherable] amount of the Chickasaw Goods.
