Sir,
My last letter to you was dated the [undecipherable] of instant. I now enclose you a statement of the 756 dollars & 74½ cents I received of Lieut Freeman the 14th of last May — at foot of which statement is his receipt for 98 dollars & 16¾ cents, being the balance that re-mained in my hands of said money. I delivered to him the vouchers to the statement.—
