Sir,
Your favor of the 1 instant I received yesterday, enclosing the bank note for 75 dollars of Buckymull's receipt for Lieut Freeman. Lieut Freeman has received and for the 13 dollars, as I have not yet had time to finish the statement of the 156 dollars 74½ cents he deposited in my hands by your direction. I have paid Mr Cunningham the 99 dollars you sent me to pay him on a note Geb Towsend gave him. I now enclose you said note with a receipt in full on the back of it. The 40 dollars Got Towsend's note to me was for of the 99 dollars I paid Mr Cunningham make the 39 dollars.
Also enclose you a statement of money you sent to me, to pay the artificers & engineers their May pay, on the back of which is Lieut Freeman's receipt for the balance of 115 dollars that remained in my hands — I also [undecipherable] to him the numbers. I likewise enclose you a receipt rolls signed by the ordnance [undecipherable] for Rochefontaine's [undecipherable], amount to 65 dollars, and pay rolls for their July & August pay.

I enclose you two orders from Col. Rochefontaine for teams — I ventured to furnish them. The hauling the timber from the mountain for Lieut Freeman's kitchen (which is to be added to Major Rivardi's late house, Col. Rochefontaine intending two families to occupy said house,) took 2 teams 2¼ days each at 18/ ℗day. A team is now hauling saplins for the woodyard.
I shall immediately finish the statement of the 156 dollars & 74½ cents Lieut Freeman left in my hands, & pay him the residue of the balance.
