P.O.401310.] Pittsburg 30^th September 1796 Sir, I have received your letter of the 23^d instant Together with the packet of News papers and a letter to Col^o O'Hara which is handed to him he having arrived last Night from Detroit via Presqu'isle. The Return of Stores alluded to in your letter was sent to you by last post and you will receive herewith two Vouchers for Issues of whiskey mentioned in my Certificate a copy of which was returned to me by last post. Two receipts for salt used in repacking Beef & Pork are also enclosed - and receipts for salt given to Horses & Oxen it will be obtained and transmitted as soon as the Pack horse master returns from Presqu'isle. This letter is accompanied by a packet containing Copies of Invoices & Receipts of provision forwarded to & Delivered at the several Posts from the 1^st of January 1795 to the 30^th June 1796 - The original Invoices &c remain on the books of the Office. Be pleased to forward the letter addressed to Cap^tn Breezley, who I expect will pay into your Hands $40 for me If I have occasion to call upon you for a Remittance [upon] the return of the post.
