Michael Halteisen at Fort Johnson, being for the pay of himself, Ens.^r Robert Towrans and the men under the command of Capt. The rec.^t Roll for May & June has been examined amounting to D.^rs 459 ²⁸/₁₀₀ and passed to your credit on the Books of this Office. Your Pay Roll for July & August has also been examined and (after deducting Frederick Dolbs's pay & Forage which is payable to his Attorney at this Office, Thomas Beveridge deceased, & Patrick Hynes on command with Major Freeman) amounts to four hundred sixty one dollars & ¹⁷/₁₀₀; which sum you will receive from Daniel Stevens Esq.^r Supervisor Charleston, for which you will give him duplicate Rec.^ts and disburse the same agreeably to the enclosed receipt Roll.
