Your favor of the 1 Instant I recived yesterday, enclosing the bank note for 95 dollars, [undecipherable] Pennymilis receipt for Jacob Freeman. Jacob Freeman has received and [undecipherable] for the 89 dollars, as I have not yet had time to finish the statement of the 95 dollars & 74½ cents to be deposited in my hands by your direction. I have paid Mr Pennington the 99 dollars your order to me to pay him on a note Gen [undecipherable] gave him. I now enclose you said note with a receipt in full on the back of [undecipherable]. The 60 dollars Gen [undecipherable] note to me was for, & the 89 dollars I paid Mr Pennington make the 89 dollars.
Also enclose you a statement of money your order to me, to pay the [undecipherable] Engineers their Hay pay, on the back of which is [undecipherable] Freeman's receipt for the balance of 115 dollars that remained in my hands — I am [undecipherable] to him the numbers. Also enclose you a receipt [undecipherable] signed by the ordnance [undecipherable] & for their June pay, amount to 65 dollars, and pay rolls for their July & August pay.
On the [undecipherable] I wrote to you [undecipherable] and also [undecipherable] of the 158 dollars [undecipherable] Capt [undecipherable] of the Officers that work with him to the westward — it having slipped my memory, at the time, that your reimbursement had come.
