Your estimate for the months of June & July of the regular Troops in Georgia has been handed to the Sec.^y of War who after adding one months pay & forage thereto so as to compleat their pay to the first of the present month, and the pay of M.^r Witney to the same day has issued a Warrant for Six thousand four hundred & fifty three Dollars the amount thereof which will be by this days post transmitted to Daniel Stavey Sup.^t Charleston S.^o Carolina, there to remain as usual Subject to your orders. The utmost dispatch is necessary in obtaining this money and in making the payments to the Troops, so as to be in time agreeably to the act of Congress [strikethrough: already] mentioned to you on this subject.
