I have the honor to hand you an Estimate signed by C. Freeman of the pay & Forage of the Troops in Georgia under the Command of Lieut Coll. Henry Gaither for the months of June & July 1795 amounting to Four thousand one hundred forty two Dollars. which sum you will please to give directions for placing in the Treasury, to be forwarded to said Freeman.

The enclosed account of Joseph Cranch was received from him pr his Letter of the 12th inst. in which he says "The thirty one Cents for cleaning French Arms with sand was the price charged 3 or 4 years ago since which a Major" "Hodgdon has [strikethrough: thought] fit to augment my charges on account of the" "very high price of labor but by mistake the cleaning arms" "with sand was left out of the List" — This charge as well as the others you well please to examine & note if they are agreeably to Contract with him & return the account to me properly certified.
