Gardner Since then forwarded an order for the freight of Cap^t. Daggetts — as respects his deficiency it must arise in the weighing, the drafts were about 800 each and as I did not attend personally to his. it is probable his draft was accounted for twice — — I have delay'd this business expecting our late friend M^r. Gorham would have come on to your place and Settled it — — when I rec^d the lead in care I^t — observ'd. it should be free of expence for a few Month, and all casualtys at the risk of the United States — in which he was oblig'd. and agreeable to request I submit all that.
