I have recd your letter of the 5th instant. have therefore thought proper to transmit you an extract of your account Current as entered on the Books of this Office by which you will see that on the 1st of this month you are indebted to the United States on account of you pay and forage the sum of two hundred & thirty two Dollars 85/100, — any other advances to you until the above is accounted for will rest with the Secretary of War.
