Sir
Lieut Richard Butler has desired me to transmit you the Enclosed Receipt Rolls of his detachment for March April and May 496 and requests you to acknowledge the Receipt of them and to give him credit for the amount paid thereon viz 399 dollars
You will will also find enclosed herewith an account of Pay Forage subsistence of Lt Colo Butler for six Months commencing 1st Jany 496 tending 30th June 496 the amount Dollars 634. 612/4cents which please to place to my credit —
