Geo: Ingersoll Boston Accountants Office Sept^r 14. 1796 Sir I have to acknowledge the receipt of your Letter of the 3^d inst. and am sorry that there should be any difference of opinion on the propriety of the charges in your Subsistence account, — the price you charge while in Boston cannot possibly be admitted. — it cannot be considered the price of a ration from the circumstances that rations were Furnished in that place — A Gentleman in Boston who supplied a small recruiting party with rations was certainly allowed
