September 1791 Your letter of 18. August have received the Sum of Ten thousand one hundred and ninety one Dollars and twenty five Cents, have received from the Treasurer of the United in a draft on the Cashier of the office of [undecipherable] and [undecipherable] at Charleston, to be paid to Constant Freeman Esq^r have wrote to that Gentleman notifying him thereof, and that it is now subject to his order — But it is surprizing, I cannot hear from him in answer to two letters I have wrote on the subject of the first remittance of Sixteen hundred Dollars, which has lain in my hands ready for his draft on me — I have sent them regularly by Post, to the care of the Collector of the Custom at Savannah as he is [undecipherable] I should do — I can only account for it, that he must be on the frontiers of Georgia, and has not received my letters, which occasions this silence — or that he more to tell — I am Sir f Respectfully Your most Ob: Serv^t Dan.
