Staunton 25 Aug^t 1796 Sir I have received your letters of the 8 & 9 Inst together with a recent Acct. and John Boyes duplicate receit for three Hundred Dollars out of my pay. — I must request that you would please pay to M^r John Boys a further sum of two hundred & fifty dollars. and the balance that may then appear due to me, on examination and settlement of my account. you will please to pay to Montgomery & Newbold, Grocers in North Water street. who will be directed to wait on you accordingly.
