I received your Letter of the 12th inst. enclosing the pay Roll of yourself and men for August 1796 which has been examined & amounts to one hundred Dollars & six Cents (you having charged James Bentleys pay too short) which sum you will receive from John Kilty Esqr. Supervisor Maryland, as well as the sum of twenty six Dollars on account of your pay for this month. You will therefore observe to give duplicate receipts for each sum to be accountable as usual.
