Pittsburg 26^th Aug 1796. Sir I have received your letter of the 19^th instant and shall as you desire transmit you a return of Military Stores rec^d of the Militia Army in 1794 & since that time. I have this day transmitted to you under cover to the Secretary of War a packet containing Vouchers of Issues & Provisions at this post During the Months of March, April, May & June 1796 accompanied by monthly abstracts — and this letter you will find accompanied by a General return for these months. Col. Nevill has in has hands 2400 dollars the remitted to the Treasury of Pennsylvania which he has applied to me to take up and draw for that amount on you and which it is probable I may do by next post, at which time I expect to transmit an estimate of Objects of Expenditure for the 3^d Quarter of the current year.
