(who are generally Captains or Subaltterns) do the Duty of Pay master to their detachments without asking any Compensation. If Ens.^r McCall has been at any extra expence in consequence of such Duty I should think that he would be reimbursed. But as to Compensation I can at present only say I know of no precedent for allowing any.
