Eight hundred and fiftyfive Dollars, in full for a Bill drawn by Daniel Haragan Deputy Quarter Master, on the Honorable Secretary of War at five days sight, in favour of Michael Jones, on account of the Quarter Masters Department; Which Bill has been mislaid in the Office of the Department of War. In procuring the second of this Bill of exchange, we promise to use every diligent Measure in our power, and lodge it in the Office of the Intendant of Stores, N^o 71 North Seven Street. for the above mentioned sum we have signed two receipts of same time and date.— Doll. 855.— Taylor Newbold [circled: 18] [undecipherable] Sir.
