Inclosed are the Inlistments of the two Recruits mentioned in my letter of the 23 of June — If you will find one of them inlisted for the term of three years & the other for 5— the former was inlisted by Mr Mauhlenberg for my Company during my absence, not knowing that the term had been altered.
If these vouchers should be sufficient to justify the payment, I would be obliged to you to send the amount— I also inclose a Certif: in the favor of [undecipherable] Thornton [undecipherable] in my Company, which I beg your attention —
